Complicated bookings and wasted hours spent queuing are set to become a thing of the past. This summer the world’s first all-you-can fly membership airline is offering European members the benefits of private aviation for a fraction of the usual price. For a fixed monthly fee, Surf Air offers unlimited flights between London and other key European destinations aboard state-of-the-art Embraer Phenom 300 jets. Routes to Ibiza and Cannes have already launched, with Zurich, Luxembourg, Munich and Milan coming next month. Using the Surf Air app, tickets can be booked in seconds from any hand held device, and because members are subject to security checks when they join, pre-flight screening times are dramatically reduced – meaning passengers can turn up just 15 minutes before departure. With space for just eight passengers on each flight, a very personal service is assured. Add to that a private terminal with valet parking, and members can be certain that there will be no mixing with the hoi polloi. Launched in 2013 in California, Surf Air now offers its 4,000 members 90 daily flights on 12 routes.
