The new red

Never mind new year January drudgery, colour connoisseurs Pantone have introduced 2015’s shade of the year, and we can tell you it’s quite the antithesis of the blues. Marsala, taken from the Sicilian wine region is, as the name suggests, a full-bodied earthy red that’s the perfect hue to add a splash of cosy to your home this winter. Of course, this timely announcement gives us yet another excuse to shop those new year woes away, (they do call it retail therapy after all). And so, armed with our trusty Pantone colour swatch, we’ve chosen our top interiors picks that celebrate one seriously plush shade so hot right now it might even go some way to keeping out the frost.
