A very foodie Frieze

The word on every art-lover’s lips this October is Frieze. We are, of course gearing up to visit this contemporary art fair – one of the world’s leading, in fact – opening this Wednesday and taking place in our beloved Regent’s Park. We will, of course be reporting back, but until then, we’ve time to tell you about three exciting foodie pop-ups happening throughout this year’s Frieze London and Frieze Masters. All that art perusing promises to be hungry work, after all…

First up, Soho trattoria Bocca Di Lupo are launching two pop-up dining experiences: Bocca Di Lupo Above, which will become the main a la carte restaurant overlooking the park, and Bocca Below, serving coffee, pastries, salads-to-go and most importantly, Gelupo’s gelato. Mmm!

Renowned Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant UMU are getting in on the arty action too with a pop-up eatery and bar at Frieze Masters. We’re promised timeless Japanese hot dishes, Sashimi sustenance and inventive cocktails.

And not to be outdone, Locanda Locatelli will host a pop-up a la carte restaurant at Frieze Masters for the third year running. With a menu created by Michelin-starred chef Giorgio Locatelli, you can look forward to traditionally Italian fare featuring pastas, salads, risottos and of course, fine Italian wine. Cin cin!

15 to 19 October.
