Celebrate sakura season at KOYN by joining to see the prized exhibition ‘Hanami’, by photographer Rohan Shrestha. ‘Hanami’ will see infrared images of cherry blossoms displayed in KOYN’s facade windows until 30th April. Guests will be served Hanami Hako (Kyoto-style culinary treasure chests) under the delicate shades of the cherry blossom cast into the zen-inspired restaurant through the windows, transforming the restaurant and creating the perfect spot for an authentic lunch this spring.
“Sakura season is so beautiful and the perfect indication that spring is finally here. I’m delighted to work with my dear friend Rohan to bring Hanami – the act of viewing cherry blossoms to KOYN and create a culinary treasure trove inspired by it to delight guests.” – Samyukta Nair, Founder
Expect Hanami Hako to balance creative dishes with traditional flavours with this special menu. Filled with 6 artisanal dishes and packaged up in a crafted oak chest, the hako will feature Japanese classics such as Chilean sea bass with kuromame miso; Japanese A5 wagyu with cherry nakitori and KOYN Nigiri selection; unagi, chu roro and hamachi. For dessert induldge in a traditional raindrop cake, an iridescent cake and enticing cake and enjoy one of the restaurants special cocktails, the Blossom Negroni created by the resident KOYN bar team to celebrate the season.
Sakura season will run until 30th April 2023. Hanami Hako will be available during the lunch service and priced at £95. 38 Grosvenor Street 1, Mayfair, London, W1K 4AQ (koynrestaurants.com)
