3 Of The Best: New Bars

Flûte Bar & Lounge
Having visited Flûte in New York and Paris, we were thrilled when this fizz-focused bar opened in the Capital. Interiors are enticing, with warm fireplaces and cosy banquettes, but our favourite feature is the stunning Champagne glass chandelier. Connoisseurs of the bubbly stuff can choose from 100 varieties, and tasting flights are available for the uninitiated. There is a menu of delicious appetisers, just right for stomach lining purposes.

Archer Street
With the first exclusive Billecart-Salmon Champagne bar in London, and a long list of delicious cocktails, this new bar is a winner. Upstairs the vibe is sultry with large French windows, distressed wood panelling, and silver-topped tables dressed with candles. Downstairs is more intimate, with quirky mirrors and a reclaimed metal bar. It is the spontaneous bursts of entertainment we love most though, this is Theatreland, after all.

The Lucky Pig
This intimate drinking den takes design elements from the Art Nouveau period, and old New York. The space is packed with one-off art pieces, collectibles and beautiful mismatched furniture, and there is even an upright piano – perfect for impromptu Blues performances.
The cocktail menu features classic, simple, but perfectly formed concoctions, all served in beautiful glassware. We couldn’t ask for more.
