We have it on good authority that the white bearded one will be making his way to Notting Hill’s St. John’s Church tomorrow (Saturday 7 December). And while the little darlings are putting in their requests at the grotto, you can be getting on with a spot of all-important Christmas gift shopping with over 35 stalls from the likes of Barbara Wiggins, Alexeeva & Jones, Crocheting Divas and Mary Pritchard Ceramics. You can even pick up your Christmas tree if you haven’t already, along with decorations, cards, mince pies and all kinds of seasonal delicacies, washed down with a glass of warming mulled wine. Well, Christmas shopping can be thirsty work, no?
But while it may be the season of good will, there’s an opportunity to treat yourself too with a fabulous ten-prize raffle that includes dinner for two at Portobello, a case of cava donated by Jeroboams, a Hyde Park Winter Wonderland ticket for a family of four and men’s grooming goody bags donated by Meet the Bulldog. And, if that wasn’t enough festive frolics, there’s entertainment too from female barbershop quartet Coco Sorelle and the London Youth Gospel Choir. In other words, they’ve got Christmas wrapped up and it’s all happening in Notting Hill.
