DOING IT FOR THE KIDS

We love a good street party, but without any Jubilees or Royal weddings to celebrate this summer (hint hint, Harry!), it seemed we’d missed our chance. Or so we thought… until word reached us that the aptly-named A Perfect Day is returning to Avenue Road this very Sunday, after five years away. Held by charity Pigs4Kids to raise money for – and awareness of – the sterling work done at the Swiss Cottage School Development and Research Centre, this one day extravaganza of a festival will see a dazzling array of entertainment laid on; from funfairs to face painting, petting zoos to yummy food, live music and rumoured appearances from a number of famous faces, there’ll be more than enough fun to make the party go with a swing – although rumours of a “Soak the Estate Agent” stall remain unconfirmed…!

It’s worth bearing in mind, too, what a truly amazing cause Pigs4Kids is; Swiss Cottage School is world-renowned for being right at the forefront of pioneering work and research with children with special needs, but wouldn’t be able to continue this work without money raised by its resident charity. It’s slap bang in the centre of where Fabric calls home, and if (shame on you) you can’t make it on Sunday, you can still donate by texting PIGS04, followed by the amount you wish to donate, to 70070. We’ll see you there for some feel-good fun!
