To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the publication of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Keats Community Library will be hosting a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in the beautiful grounds of Keats House this Saturday 27 June from 2-4pm. There’ll be sweet treats including delicious cakes as well as copious cups of tea to be had. We’re promised fun and frolics, too, in the form of a treasure hunt and a rhyme-time sing-along led by the Red Queen. Plus the infamous Alice will be dropping down a rabbit hole somewhere on Hampstead Heath for a surprise visit. Uncommon nonsense? Quite. But that, dear reader, is the name of the game on this balmy (or should that be barmy) Saturday afternoon.
Come prepared for the cupcake competition and bring in your own home-baked goodies for a chance to win a terrific prize. Entry to the garden is free but there will be a charge for tea and cake with all proceeds going to Keats Community Library and Age UK Camden.
“Yes, that’s it! said the Hatter with a sigh, it’s always tea time.” Meet you there for the madness!
