The Federation of British Artists at Mall Galleries presents an online fundraising auction this Frieze Week, between 9 and 16 October 2023.
Member artists of the Federation, from the following royal and national art societies, have pledged an original, specially made work of art – on an A5 postcard, or small sculpture – for auction:
- Royal Society of British Artists
- Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours
- Royal Institute of Oil Painters
- New English Art Club
- Royal Society of Portrait Painters
- Pastel Society
- Royal Society of Marine Artists
- Society of Wildlife Artists
- Hesketh Hubbard Art Society, London’s largest life drawing group
The contributing artists are listed, but the artworks will be kept anonymous until after the auction has ended to add an extra element of mystery and suspense!
The initiative is called “Art for All” as the funds raised will support Mall Galleries and the Federation of British Artists (Registered Charity 200048) as the leader in contemporary figurative art, led by artists, for all.
All proceeds from the auction will bolster Mall Galleries’ mission to empower artists through a not-for-profit programme of exhibitions and events, prizes and awards, with a focus on figurative art.
