If you’re feeling like splashing some cash on a new piece of artwork for your home, you can do just that and raise money for a very worthwhile cause at the same time. London estate agency Chestertons has been tapping into the transformative power of art by organising a special workshop and a fundraising auction for homeless charity St Mungo’s at the Royal Academy of Arts in Piccadilly. Last month Chestertons, a premier supporter of the Royal Academy, arranged an art workshop there for around 25 of the people St Mungo’s helps. Royal Academy staff then shortlisted some of the best works created, and Chestertons have now put those 11 striking pieces up for auction in aid of the charity.
Art lovers on the lookout for an impressionist original to call their own at a fraction of the cost of a Monet masterpiece can bid on the St Mungo’s artworks here – the auction runs until 6pm on 1st March and all profits go to St Mungo’s. Get your bids in now before it’s too late!
