To mark the occasion south of the border, from 24th to 28th January 2023, St James’s Hotel & Club in Mayfair will celebrate Burn’s Night in its Michelin-starred restaurant, Seven Park Place, and the hotel’s 1857 Bar.
William Drabble, head chef at Seven Park Place
Tucked away on Park Place in St James’s, adjacent to Green Park and just a 10 minute walk to Piccadilly Circus, the five star St James Hotel & Club is a small but perfectly formed bolthole with just 60 guest rooms and suites. Welcoming guests such as Winston Churchill, Henry James, Ian Fleming, Sean Connery, Liza Minnelli and Samuel L. Jackson, St James’s has a history of illustrious guests, alongside chef William Drabble’s continued Michelin success since the restaurant’s opening in 2009.
William’s signature Haggis Raviolo dish served with confit turnips and Dalmore 12-year single malt and thyme jus
Food and drink feature in a big way on this indulgent Burn’s night meal with William leading the night’s festivities with a refined take on a much-loved Scottish culinary classic, made using the very best seasonal British produce. Sip on a glass of whisky on arrival in Bar 1857, including notable pours of Dalmore’s 15 Year Old Highland Single Malt or if you fancy something a bit less traditional, try the one-off special cocktail: Dalmore Port Wood Mackenzie Highball. A concoction comprised of Dalmore Port Wood, tawny port, raspberry syrup and lemon juice, topped up with soda and finished with fresh raspberry, it’s the perfect tipple to kick off your Burn’s Night. As the evening draws on, sit down in the intimate dining room for a tasting of William Drabble’s Menu Gourmand with dishes including Roasted Veal Sweetbread and Baron Bigod; black truffle with Calvados and Brioche Crumb. With everything from whiskey to Haggis, and exclusively for Burn’s Night, William will be serving his signature seasonal Haggis Raviolo, with confit turnips and Dalmore 12-year single malt and thyme jus for his guests. A feast that would make you wish it was Burn’s Night every day!
From £140 per person. Haggis Raviolo, with confit turnips and Dalmore 12-year single malt and thyme is an additional optional course of £15.
