SET MENU: A Taste of Nobu

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the second official Nobu restaurant on Old Park Lane. Rightly famous for its opulent interiors and extravagant menus, the Japanese-Peruvian eatery is a gleaming gem in the Capital’s foodie scene. Whether you’re a newbie to Nobu, or a long-time lover of this institution, you’ll want to check out the special summer set menu, which introduces five classic courses from Nobuyuki Matsuhisa’s famous menu.

Starting with a choice of salted or sesame chilli edamame, diners move on to a salad of fresh spinach, Parmesan, olive oil, yuzu juice, crispy tofu skin and Nobu’s signature dry miso, topped with grilled shrimp. Next up, a mouth-watering selection of the finest freshly hand-crafted sushi. The stand-out dish is still to come, though, in the form of the iconic black cod with miso for which Nobu is perhaps most famous. For those who prefer meat there is a showstopping beef toban-yaki, served sizzling on a traditional Japanese dish. Whisky cappuccino, featuring layers of coffee brulée and milk ice cream, topped with whisky foam rounds off the meal.

At just £40, available for lunchtime bookings Monday through Wednesday until 31 August, this is a taste of Nobu you won’t want to miss.
