The self-proclaimed dandy designed for Yves Saint Laurent, Prada and Fendi before launching his career as a creator of furniture and decorative objects.
Here, we’ll see Darré at his most daring, with pieces including a gilded blown-glass dragonfly lamp and a flamboyant bronze velour couch. “The moment I accepted the gallery’s invitation,” he says, “I imagined the trip as a permanent relocation. In a flash, the concept was born: a duplex in London with my office and living room to greet my friends. I would live in London.” Welcome, Monsieur.
