All bar none.
West Hampstead already has more than its fair share of cool drinking dens – think The Alice House, The Gallery and Bobby Fitzpatrick – so it feels almost greedy for it to be laying claim to another. We’re not complaining though…
Described by owners Will Partridge (Kilburn Ironworks) and Chris Dennis (Sovereign Loss, Disrepute) as a neighbourhood bar with a real focus on drinks, Heads + Tails will launch later this month on the former site of nightclub Lately.
We’re told that the ground floor bar (Heads) will be bright and airy, with a beautiful garden, matched by a menu of refreshing cocktails, lighter and low-alcohol drinks and an extensive wine and beer list.
In contrast, the basement bar (Tails) promises to be a low-lit, atmospheric space filled with warm wood and rich colour, and a menu focusing on a heady mix of bourbon, whisky and rum based cocktails – perfect for continuing the night into the wee hours.
